What stops us from enjoying life?

Wellbeing Training

Many people make the mistake of thinking they need counselling or therapy, when all they need is some good quality education. The body is an amazing thing and so often people mistake the stress response as chronic illness that can't be changed. IT CAN!

When you take time to learn how the body physically responds to the mind, and you work on your thinking state, then the body has no choice but to respond to create a new better version of you.

The mind controls the body, and whilst counselling will help you to off load, and therapy may help you heal from your past, most therapists wont actually teach you the importance of creating new habits of thought and action.  These are the two components that will lead you to create a far better life for yourself.

If you know or believe there could be a better version of you to be found, then you are most definitely in the right place and safe hands here with us as Transforming Me.

Knowing your WHY!

Understand Me

This is the first step in personal transformation.  You need to understand what is and isn't working for you.  You need to be able to translate your emotional responses and accept that change is needed.

More importantly WHY you need to change. What discomfort is your issue or problem having on your life.

For me it was simple, I was making myself ill.  I was internally hurting myself and my body was giving me so many signs.  I just had to learn how to read them. For others it may be relationship damage, sabotaging their health or their finances.

I had to work out what was real, what wasn't real.  What could I control and what I couldn't. I needed to learn I had the power to change.

The best metaphor is to think of trying to swim or steer a boat against the current.  It's really hard work.  When you change the direction and go with the current, there is far less resistance and life becomes easier.

If you are finding life hard at the moment, the first thing to do is TO STOP!  Stop trying to paddle up stream.  Take time to rest and learn.

The internet is full of self help stuff, and knowing where to start or if the info is genuine can be tricky, this why here at Transforming Me we have broken down the stages of improved wellness into easier to understand phases.

Understand Me is a key phase in recovery.  For some people it is the first phase, for those who are chronically ill, may need an element of rescuing first, so we have created a RESCUE ME module of work as well.

With Understand Me you will

  • Learn about stress and the bodies response to it.
  • Learn about change and how we handle it
  • Learn how to take back control of your thoughts and how we can steer our thinking to reprogram our subconscious for far better outcomes in our lives.
  • Take part in some self assessments so you get to see in real time what the problem is.
