Flipping your perspective

When you learn to look at life the other way round you will let go of your ego

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE, DO OR HAVE IN LIFE?

The Illusion of “Have, Do, Be”

The idea that we can have, do, and be is nothing new. Most of us understand that we can have certain things, do certain activities, and experience a range of feelings or states of being.  However, when it comes to mental health, problems often arise because many of us grow up believing that having things will automatically make us be or feal a certain way.

For example, a young adult leaving home might think, “If I have my own house, then I can do things on my own — and that will make me be happy.”

The problem with this way of thinking is that it ties our emotional well-being to external circumstances. We tell ourselves that we’ll only feel good after we’ve achieved or acquired something. When we can’t have or do the things we want — especially when money or opportunity is limited — we can easily slip into feelings of frustration, inadequacy, or lack.

This mindset makes our emotional state dependent on what we acquire, rather than on what we can generate within ourselves. Sure, a trip to a football match might lift our mood, but when we think about the dream holiday or perfect relationship we don’t have, we often create low emotional states in the present — almost like a self-imposed jealousy or comparison trap.

In truth, our sense of “being” — our peace, happiness, and fulfillment — comes from within.

The more we can be happy first, the more naturally we can do and have the things that align with that state of being.

So lets focus on "BE" first

For You, We Want to BE

  • Be a reliable source of trusted information in the context of wellness.
  • Be a bridge to the truth about how to play the game of life in a way that keeps you well and reduces stress.
  • Be a one-stop shop that supports both thinking and action for your mind and body, so that you get great results in life.
  • Be more than your therapist — to be your guide, your teacher, and your coach as you pursue wellness every day.
  • Be the long-awaited answers you deserve.

We Want You to BE

  • Be able to consistently find and feel those higher, more positive states.
  • Be able to easily recognise the progress you are making.
  • Be aware of your inner voice and intuition, so you can dialogue with yourself in a healthy, supportive way.
  • Be able to recognise your limiting beliefs and be willing to change the things that are stopping you from feeling good now.
  • Be in a growth mindset, rather than a fixed one, when it comes to life in general.

So what shall we "DO" next?

For You, We Want to DO

  • Do things in a way and order that make sense for you.
  • Do all that we can to support your mental and physical healing journey — without compromising our own wellbeing.
  • Do things that other practitioners might never dream of delivering because of their own limiting beliefs — yes, we give hugs of support!
  • Do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to help you know that you can pilot your own life with confidence and calm — we don’t limit the number of sessions you need.
  • Do things that build you up, not re-traumatise you.

We Want You to DO

  • Do the work we recommend — after all, you’re paying for advice, so don’t waste your investment.
  • Do everything we suggest, even if it feels silly sometimes — yes, you might need to talk to yourself from time to time!
  • Do not be put off by your emotions; things like crying and anger need to come out.
  • Do yourself a favour and stop bullying yourself — it’s time to put that inner critic where they belong: there to support you, not to bully you.
  • Do give yourself credit for your progress — only compare yourself to the you of yesterday, not anyone else.

Then finally you will "HAVE"!

For You, We Want to HAVE

  • Have time and space to listen to your problems and situations.
  • Have openness to be truthful with you about what appears to be working — and what isn’t.
  • Have information from you that will help us weave together a personalised learning journey leading to your healing.
  • Have faith that you will take your healing journey seriously enough to give us the time to work with you.
  • Have hope in you when you can’t yet find it in yourself.

We Want You to HAVE

  • Have understanding of how your brain, body, and mind work.
  • Have clarity on how to care for yourself so your life finally feels in balance.
  • Have certainty about which beliefs are serving you — and which are not.
  • Have confidence to stop self-sabotage.
  • Have focus on the things and people in your life that align with your values.

At the heart of our work lies a simple truth: healing and growth happen when what you have, what you do, and who you are all align.

Our commitment to you — and what we ask from you — is grounded in this philosophy.
